Two great destinations!

New Hope and Lahaska, PA are two great destinations for a day trip or a weekend visit. While the towns are only a quick and easy five minute drive from each other, each boasts a unique flavor.

Peddlers Village in Lahaska, PA is a quaint, old-fashioned shopping village. With its cobbled together brick pathways, old mill, and wooden carts selling cider and lemonade, it will take you back to a simpler time! It is a beautiful place to visit during the holidays, with its prize-gingerbread house displays and dazzling lights in the evening. In the warmer months the colorful flowers planted along every path will brighten your walk! There are plenty of places to stop for a bite, including the casual Hart's Tavern, or the more upscale Earl's if you're looking to make the night extra special!

A stones throw away, New Hope, which began as a haven for Bucks County's local artists, has stayed true to its roots. It boasts art galleries, pottery and jewelry shops, and a unique bohemian feel. Located right on the Delaware River, it combines an incredible water view with great shopping, many eclectic dining options, and exciting nightlife! Havana is the place to go for live music and dancing, a cool vibe, and great drinks! Up the road you'll find the Landing, a New Hope restaurant and bar that offers fantastic food, a bustling patio with outdoor bar in the warmer months, and an extensive cocktail and beer menu.

No matter what kind of mood you find yourself in, these two spots have something for everyone! Enjoy your trip and if you happen to see me at the Landing, come on over and say hello!

Until next time,
Jan
